Editing Anchors

A shape's anchors control how the shape moves and resizes whenever the parent shape moves or resizes. It therefore only makes sense to set anchors for shapes that are grouped.

Whenever you click on the Set Anchors button you can edit the anchors for each shape.

Note: you must first check Override default settings before you can set the anchor settings to non-default values.

Position in X/Y proportional to parent
Use this setting to move the left edge of the control so that when the parent control resizes, the shape will move proportionally.

Resize in X/Y proportional to parent
Use this setting to resize the control so that its size always remains proportional to its parent size.

Example: When the parent shape resizes we will see the blue shape resize and move proportionally:

Lock directly to parent edges
Set any of these to assure that the shape will remain at exactly the same distance from the edge of the parent that you checked.

Example: Here we have the same initial shape, and we check [x] Left and we uncheck [ ] Resize in X proportional to parent:
