Hello,

I found a difference in decoding of special characters between versions 3.11 and 4.02.
Take a look at the name of Günter Grass. NativeXML 4.02 doesn't decode ü to ü.

Has development of NativeXML stopped or can I expect an update in the near future?

Hello Bert,

No the development of NativeXml has not been stopped. I just did not yet see your message in time.

Thanks for the headsup, with your note that there is a difference between versions 3.11 and 4.02! I certainly will look at this.

Kind regards, Nils

I looked at the difference and indeed in 3.11 there was the ability to lookup and replace (hex) character references.

Somehow this was overlooked/skipped in v4, and I have now corrected this and readded the ability.

I am also looking at another problem and when both are fixed I will create an update.

Kind regards, Nils

AFAIK in version 4.05, the missing character replacement bug is now fixed. I would be grateful for any comment whether it runs well or not.

Kind regards, Nils

Hi Nils,

The issue has been fixed in the last update.
I didn't bother to reply because my messages appear here only after several weeks.
Anyway, thanks for your efforts.

Bert
